Altamont Pounds Newton; Other Friday Results

Altamont pounded out 17 hits en route to a 16-1 victory over Newton Friday.

Josie Phillips had three hits and drove in four runs for the Indians. Madison Ohnesorge and Josie Phillips each garnered three hits, Deidre Ledbetter, Lauren Ohnesorge and Audrey Winters each had two hits, and Lauren White, Brooke Burns, Alex Teasley, Nikki Tharp and Elizabeth Biggs each had a base hit. Tharp drove in three runs.

Deidre Ledbetter, allowing just two hits and one walk in five innings of work, while striking out six.
