07/29/14: The City of Effingham water service will be off, starting at midnight July 31, for the businesses and residents living along Fayette Avenue. Fayette Avenue from Willow Street to Fourth Street, Third Street from National to Fayette, Second Street from Jefferson to National and First Street from Fourth Street to Willow Street. Water is expected to be off until the early morning hours of August 1 and the services affected will be under a boil order until further notice.
