Altamont, T-town Continue to Cruise

It was home run time as Teutopolis claimed an 8-4 win over Stewardson-Strasburg/Windsor in softball action Thursday.
Kadi Borries and Allison Apke hit back-to-back shots in the fifth inning to push T-town's lead to 6-1. Both were solo homers. Apke then added on to her total with a solo homer in the seventh. Raegan Drees got in on the action with a solo homer in the sixth.
Borries picked up the pitching win on a five-hitter with three walks and three strikeouts. She also added a double to her home run and finished with two RBI. Danielle Repking chipped in with a double and two RBI.
Stew-Stras/Windsor was led by Schlechte with a single, double and an RBi and Knop with two singles.
T-town is now 14-0 on the season.

At Beecher City
Altamont stepped out to a 2-0 first inning lead on Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick and went on for a 15-1 win in five innings.
Deidre Ledbetter pitched a two-hitter with seven strikeouts. Ledbetter also had two doubles and drove in a run. White had a single, double and two RBI while Tharp had three singles and an RBI. Winters had a home run and three RBI. Phillips chipped in with two singles and an RBI as the Indians banged out 14 hits in the game.
BCCH's two hits came off the bat of Amanda Pierce with two singles and an RBI.
