Altamont claimed two junior high soccer victories Sunday at Teutopolis Junior High School.
Altamont 4, Robinson 2
After falling behind 1-0, Altamont came roaring back in the second half to earn the 4-2 win over Robinson. Joe Stone scored for Altamont at 35:31 to tie the score 1-1. Stone, assisted by Austin Kline, scored again at 40:33 to put Altamont ahead 2-1. Jason Burns, assisted by Brooke Burns, scored at 50:33 to give Altamont a 3-1 lead, and, after a Robinson goal made it 3-2, Brooke Burns scored at 61:09 to make it 4-2 Altamont. For Altamont, Jacob Lucy had one goalkeeper save, and Dylan Cline had three saves. Altamont had 12 shots on goal, compared to six for Robinson.
Altamont 3, Teutopolis 2
Altamont struck first on a Jacob Crow goal at 16:20, with an assist from Austin Kline. Teutopolis tied it at 1-1 with a goal shortly before halftime. Joe Stone put Altamont ahead 2-1 with a goal at 36:25, but Teutopolis tied it back up at 2-2 with a goal at 42:21. Within a minute, Altamont went back ahead 3-2 on a goal by Jacob Crow, and Altamont held on for the victory. For Altamont, Bryce Kollman had five goalkeeper saves. Altamont had nine shots on goal, with Teutopolis having seven.
