U.S. Women's Soccer Team Clinches World Cup Spot

The U.S. women’s national soccer team clinched a spot in the 2023 World Cup with a 5-0 win over Jamaica Thursday in the CONCACAF W Championship in Monterrey, Mexico, their second win of the tournament.

Their World Cup berth was secured when Haiti beat Mexico 3-0 later in the day. The U.S. has played in every World Cup, winning the last two tournaments and four overall.
