Effingham Blanked in First Day Action at Charleston Red and Gold

Effingham fell to Olney East Richland 7-0 in first day action at the Charleston Red and Gold Soccer Tournament Wednesday.

Zander Marler had eight saves in the contest for the Hearts.

Other Wednesday games saw Arthur Christian shutout Charleston 1-0 and Mattoon defeat Arthur Christian 2-0. 

Effingham sees its next action today at 3:30pm against Mattoon.

The tournament concludes on Saturday.
