The Altamont Community Choir will sing from 3:00 to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, at Christmas Trees at Dr. Wright’s House. Other musicians add to the holiday spirit from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on December 7 and 8th.
Guests tour the home see a creative tree in each of the eighteen rooms. German Gingerbread Cookies decorate the tree in the pantry and cookies are for sale during the event. Other trees are “The Cardinal Tree”, “Hoping your Christmas is Merry and Bright”, and “The Joy of Giving Tree”.
Raffle tickets are for sale for “A Crimson Christmas” tree donated by Midland States Bank. The drawing will be Sunday, December 8 at 4 p.m.
The 1889 house museum is located at North Main Street and West Jackson Avenue in Altamont. Admission is $6 for adults and $1 for students. The annual fundraiser helps with operating expenses of the house museum.
