Beecher City Board Moves Ahead w/Bidding on Grade School Addition

Beecher City school board members agreed this week to move forward with The Upchurch Group seeking bids on a five-classroom addition at their grade school building in Beecher City.

The project will also include one new restroom and renovations of the existing two restrooms. 

Beecher City board members also approved the budget for the new fiscal year; approved the district bullying prevention policy; and approved the district's student behavioral threat assessment and management team.

The Board approved a FFA trip to the National Convention in Indianapolis in October.

In personnel moves, the Beecher City board approved these coaching and sponsors assignments: FBLA--Joan Peterson; Play Director--Vanessa Doedtman; Assistant Play Director--Conner Wachtel and Julie Hicks; and Senior Class Sponsor--Bill Hammer. The Board also accepted a resignation from non-certified employee Katie Stewart, and hired non-certified employees Mandy Watson and Nicole Doty.
