Sentences Returned in Clay County Court

Louisville resident Aven Snyder has been sentenced to four years in prison for a Clay County charge of aggravated domestic battery.

The 34-year-old Snyder pled guilty to strangling a woman during an incident in mid-May. He will serve four years mandatory supervised release once out of prison.

A Kinmundy man, 58-year-old Al Butts, was sentenced to 30 months in prison after pleading guilty to unlawful possession of methamphetamine. Butts pleaded guilty to the offense, which occurred in July of 2018 in Clay County.
