Windsor school board members dealt with a series of personnel decisions at a recent meeting.

The Board accepted a number of resignations, including that of Brian Lee as grade school principal. Lee resigned, though, to go back to his previous duties as a classroom teacher and athletic director. He succeeds Silas Pogue, who resigned at Windsor to take a classroom teacher job at Shelbyville.

Resignations were also accepted from Emily Perry as Ag teacher, Angel Bauman as Spanish teacher, and Brad Bloemer as a 6th grade teacher.

Lee was hired as a junior high and high school Social Studies teacher and athletic director. Also hired were Julia Thomas as junior high Math teacher, Colin McInerney as elementary PE teacher, Kelly Barringer as Ag teacher, and John Will as elementary school breakfast supervisor. Will was also reassigned from junior high Math teacher to a 5th grade teacher.

The Windsor board also voted to approve a three-year contract with the Windsor Teachers Association. Superintendent Erik VonHoveln said with percentage increases and a step on the salary schedule each teacher should receive about a 4% pay increase in each year of the contract, which is effective with the start of the coming school year. In addition, each teacher with five years or more service will receive a $2,000 longevity bonus. Any additional teacher will receive the $2,000 bonus when they reach five years' service.

Windsor board members also granted, in general Van Hoveln said, 4% raises to district support staff members, and School Psychologist and Academic Advisor Becky Fogerty was granted a 4% pay hike.
