Cumberland school board members welcomed recently-appointed member Anita Hayden to fill a vacancy on the Board.

The Board approved Mose, Yockey, Brown and Kull as auditors, and approved an amended budget for the current fiscal year.

Middle school principal Stacy Keyser reported some slight adjustments to the school day. Students will be required to report to their classrooms by 8:10am, and the tardy bell for middle school will ring at 8:15am.

The Board purchased commercial property and casualty insurance coverage through Prairie State Insurance Cooperative.

In personnel moves, Cumberland board members approved the retirement of Steve Brandenburg as a bus driver, and accepted the resignation of Mark Knueppel as a bus driver. The Board voted to post the position of Drama Director; two open positions for full time bus drivers; the position of classroom aide; and to approve Jennie Stults as a volunteer high school volleyball assistant coach.
