Dieterich Teen Injured in Crash

A Dieterich teenager was injured in a noon hour crash on Friday.

Effingham County Sheriff's Department reports an ATV operated by 18-year-old Trenton Spence was traveling on the Mason-Eberle Road, east of Mason when Spence lost control of the unit. The ATV went into a ditch, then flipped.

Spence was taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment.

Spence was cited for operating the ATV on a roadway. The crash happened at 12:50pm.
