Effingham resident Melissa Reynolds has been sentenced to 78 months (6-1/2 years) in federal prison on methamphetamine-related charges.

Reynolds previously pleaded guilty to four counts in a federal indictment. The counts concern distribution of meth or a conspiracy to distribute meth. All of the offenses occurred during 2018 and in Effingham County.

Reynolds will serve four years of supervised release once out of prison.

The Southeastern Illinois Drug Task Force handled the investigation into the case.
