Sacred Heart Wins, Jasper Co. Splits in Volleyball

Effingham Sacred Heart picked up wins over Altamont Lutheran in junior high volleyball competition Thursday.

The Shamrocks won the seventh-grade match 25-17, 25-10 to improve to 11-1. In eighth-grade action, Sacred Heart won 17-25, 25-23, 25-21 and is 10-2. In the fifth-sixth-grade match, Sacred Heart won 25-12, 25-23.

Jasper County split victories with Edwards County (Albion) in action Thursday evening.

Edwards County won the seventh-grade contest 18-25, 25-17, 25-16. In eighth-grade play, Jasper County was a winner 20-25, 25-21, 25-22.
