Effingham St. Anthony High School handed Olney a non-conference loss in volleyball competition Monday evening.
The Bulldogs won 25-16, 25-12. Lauren Schmidt led the Bulldogs in kills with four and aces with two. Haylee Mathis and Lauren Wente also had two aces. Megan Nuxoll led in digs with six. Mathis had 11 assists.
In junior varsity action, St. Anthony won 25-23, 26-24.

At Beecher City
South Central High School came calling and handed Beecher City losses in National Trail Conference volleyball action Monday evening.
South Central won the varsity match 25-20, 25-18. Leading Beecher City were Kirby Herrmann with two aces and seven digs, Kirsten Buzzard with nine kills and Kacie Hilt in assists with 10.
South Central won the junior varsity match 25-19, 25-4.

Dieterich defeated Cowden-Herrick in varsity action, 25-15, 25-23. Dieterich improves to 5-12 on the season.
Mindy Bohnhoff led in points with nine, aces with three and assists with 12 for the Maroons. Madison Boerngen had seven digs and three blocks. She also had four kills along with Heidi Thoele and Mallorie Vahling.
Cowden-Herrick won the junior varsity match 22-25, 25-18, 25-17.
