Effingham St. Anthony High School picked up a non-conference volleyball victory over Teutopolis Thursday evening. The Bulldogs won 25-17, 25-17.
Lauren Wente and Megan Nuxoll had four kills each for the Bulldogs. Haylee Mathias had eight digs and 13 assists. Wente and Maggie Mumm had two blocks each.
In junior varsity action, Teutopolis won 25-23, 25-23.

Salem claimed an Apollo Conference victory over Effingham 25-17, 25-16. The Hearts drop to 3-2 in the conference, 8-9 overall.
EHS was led by Josie Zerrusen with nine digs, Felicia Totten with nine assists and Brittany Beals and Chandler Ramey with four kills each.
The Wildcats also claimed the junior varsity contest, 25-15, 25-21 and the exhibition match 25-20, 25-10.

Stewardson-Strasburg dominated in a non-conference victory over Mulberry Grove Thursday evening. The Comets won 25-9, 25-2 to improve to 12-5 on the season.
"The girls were able to keep play on our side at our level tonight," said Stew-Stras Coach Ronda Schlechte. "Offense ran smoothly and serving was strong.We kept up the momentum and played well."
Clara Kaufman led in aces with six. Kendall Knop had six kills and two digs. Becca Schlechte led in assists with two anad had two digs. Brittani Tabbert also contributed two digs.
In the junior varsity match, Stew-Stras won 25-10, 25-17 to improve to 7-5.

White led in kills with five and had an ace and four stuff blocks. Wendling had nine assists and Johnson led in digs with five.
Beecher City was led by Kirby Herrmann with two aces, two kills and seven digs. Kacie Hilt had three assists. The Eagles drop to 5-16 overall.
