Effingham St. Anthony claimed the Pink Out Volley for a Cure match over Effingham in varsity volleyball action Tuesday evening.
The Bulldogs won 25-21, 25-22. Megan Nuxoll led in kills with 12 while Rachael Schultz had 13 digs. Mathis Hailey had 23 assists. Logan Braunecker had two blocks.
Effingham was led by Josie Zerrusen in digs with eight. Chandler Ramey had six kills and three blocks. Stephanie Robb had three blocks. Felicia Totten led in assists with 11.
Effingham won the junior varsity match 25-12, 25-22.

Beecher City captured two close games over Patoka for the match win. The Eagles won 25-20 and 27-25.
Kacie Hilt led in assists with 12 while Kirby Herrmann had six digs and six kills. Caitlin Sloan had six digs. Felicia Johnson led in aces with three.
Patoka won the junior varsity match 25-15, 25-11.

Stewardson-Strasburg came calling and captured two wins over host Dieterich.
Stew-Stras won the varsity match 25-14, 25-16. Becca Schlechte led in digs with eight while Brittani Tabbert led in kills with six. Baylee Quast had nine assists and four aces.
"I think the girls were overly anxious to start playing games," said Stew-Stras Coach Schlechte. "Overall the girls did great tonight. We tried some new plays that went really well. Communication needs some work but I'm pleased with their performance."
Leading Dieterich were Mindy Bohnhoff with five points, three digs and seven assists, Mallorie Vahling with three digs and three kills and Madison Boerngen with two blocks.
Stew-Stras claimed the junior varsity match 25-17, 23-25, 25-19 and split a freshman contest winning 25-9. Dieterich then won 25-23.

At Louisville
North Clay (Louisville) picked up a Midland Trail Conference win over Cisne in varsity action Tuesday.
Cisne opened with a 25-21 victory before North Clay came back to win 25-4 and 25-18 for the match.
In junior varsity play, Cisne won 27-25, 25-22.
At Centralia
St. Elmo handed Centralia Christ Our Rock Lutheran a varsity loss 25-20, 25-21. C. Howard and G. Moore had four kills each in guiding the Eagles.
M. Walk led in assists with five and had two digs along with J. Miller and E. Guerrero. Miller and B. Oberlink scored seven points each.
