CASEY -- North Clay (Louisville) captured the championship of the Class 7-2A Volleyball Regional Wednesday evening.

North Clay defeated Oblong, 25-22, 25-16.

The team remained unbeaten with a 22-0 record.

North Clay's Janelle Jordan received the IESA Sportsmanship award for the regional tournament.

The winners now advance to the Hutsonville Sectional Monday, March 10 to face Champaign St. Matthew, a 25-21, 25-14 winner over Oakland in the Paris Crestwood Regional. Match time will be 6:30 p.m.

 

Class 7-2A

South Central saw its season come to a close in the Class 7-2A Assumption Central A&M Regional Wednesday evening.

South Central fell to the host squad, Assumption Central A&M, 25-15, 25-22.

Central A&M will advance to the Bunker Hill Wolf Ridge Sectional Monday and take on either Morrisonville or Bunker Hill Wolf Ridge. Those two teams play tonight.

 

Class 7-1A

Grayville downed Mulberry Grove to win the Mulberry Grove Regional, 25-10, 25-5.

Grayville advances to the Mulberry Grove Sectional Monday at 6:30 p.m. to meet Mattoon St. John's, a winner Tuesday evening in the Sigel St. Michael Regional.
