Effingham was a winner in seventh-grade action, 25-20, 25-15.
Effingham was led by Savannah Fear and Madalyn Hoffman with five kills each. Cloie Bailey led in aces with seven and assists with seven. Jade McGee had one block. Arabella Barnhart led in digs with four.
The Bullpups were led by Bella Schultz in kills with three and blocks with three. Morgan Lustig and Amaya Griffith had three aces each. Nina Semple and Griffith had two assists each. N. Semple led in digs with one.
In eighth-grade action, St. Anthony won 25-22, 25-14.
St. Anthony was led by Nora Niebrugge with two kills and three assists. Taylor Denning also had three assists. Hanna Frisbie led in digs with three. Carli Budde had two blocks and three aces.
Effingham was led by April Martin with seven kills, nine aces, two blocks and three digs and Alayna Wade with six assists.

At Altamont
Altamont and Neoga picked up a win each in Thursday evening competition.
In the seventh-grade contest, Neoga was a winner 25-10, 24-26, 25-16.
Altamont was led by Mia Totten with eight aces and one block, Teegan Burrus with four assists, Addi Neu with five kills and one block, Payton Ort with one block and Kinze Polk wth five digs.
Altamont dropped to 3-4 on the season.
In eighth-grade play, Neoga was the winner, 25-20, 25-21.
Altamont was led by Summer Martin with two aces, Adelita Ruffner with one kill, Alyssa Ruholl and Kara Bauer with one block each and Sophia Hendrickson with four digs.

At Strasburg
Teutopolis picked up both the seventh- and eighth-grade victories over Stewardson-Strasburg Thursday evening.
In the seventh-grade match, T-town lost the opening set 25-23 but came back with 25-22, 25-22 tallies for the win and improved to 4-4.
In eighth-grade play, T-town won 25-14, 25-21 and improved to 7-1.
Brianna Westendorf led the team with four kills. Jenna Beckman and Faith Ruholl had five aces each. Ruholl also led in digs with six.
T-town is back in action today hosting Mattoon.

At Newton
Jasper County won both the seventh- and eighth-grade matches over Robinson Thursday evening.
Jasper County won 25-5, 25-12 in seventh-grade play. Wolf led in aces with 10 and assists with two while Mulvey had two kills. Hall had one block.
In the eighth-grade match, Jasper County won 25-20, 25-7. Thomann led in aces with seven and digs with two. Wagner led in kills with four and blocks with one.
Jasper County improved to 4-1 in both seventh- and eighth-grade action and returns to play Saturday at Paris Mayo.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City and Ramsey split wins in Thursday evening action.
CHBC was a winner in the seventh-grade match, 25-9, 18-25, 26-24.
Anna Hart, Kaycie Thatcher and Elaina Thompson led in kills with two each. Thompson had six aces. Thatcher led in assists with two. Hart had one block and three digs. Alyson Lawrence and Valentina Doty also had three digs. Thompson led in points with eight.
In the eighth-grade contest, Ramsey was a 25-10, 25-11 winner.
Lilly Harper led CHBC in kills with two. Natlaie Tucker, Raylee Martin and Lyric Bennett had one ace each. Tucker led in assists with two and digs with one. Sophie Zumbahlen had one dig. Martin led in points with four.
