Effingham St. Anthony was a winner over Cumberland in junior high volleyball action Friday.
The Bullpups won the seventh-grade match 25-23, 25-18.
Morgan Lustig led St. Anthony aces with six. Bella Schultz led in kills with three. Nina Semple had three assists.
The Bullpups claimed the eighth-grade match, 25-19, 25-22.
Sydney Stephens led in aces with five. Nora Niebrugge, had five assists. Carli Budde and Ava Hendrickson led in kills with two each. Hanna Frisbie and Payton Clark had two digs each. Budde led in blocks with three.

At Robinson
Effingham won both the seventh- and eighth-grade volleyball matches over Robinson Nuttall Friday.
The Mustangs claimed the seventh-grade contest, 25-10, 25-22 to improve to 4-1.
Savannah Fear, Kenley Moore and Emma Hood led in kills with two aces. Fear and Kendyl Smith had five aces each. Moore led in assists with three. Smith had one block. Rhylee Holland and Hood had one dig each.
In eighth-grade action, Effingham won 25-19, 25-14 and is now 2-3 on the season.
April Martin led in kills with three. Addison Veach had nine aces. Alayna Wade led in assists with six and digs with five. Veach also had five digs.

Sigel St. Michael played host to Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City and came out the winner in both matches Friday.
The Sharpshooters won the seventh-grade contest, 25-12, 25-1.
Leading CHBC were Anna Hart with three kills, Reece Vaughn with four aces and six points, Anna Hart and Alyson Lawrence with two assists each. Jacey Sears with five digs.
In the eighth-grade match, St. Michael was a winner 25-6, 25-12.
CHBC was led by Harper Lilly and Raylee Martin with three kills each, Natalie Tucker with six assists, Martin with five digs and Cadence Dunn with three points. Lilly had one block.

North Clay defeated Windsor in both seventh- and eighth-grade play Friday.
North Clay won the seventh-grade match, 25-9, 25-14 then claimed the eighth-grade contest, 25-12, 25-15.
