T-town, N. Clay Competed At Fairfield Volleyball Tourney; Pink Out Match Tonight At EHS

The Wooden Shoes opened with a loss to Fairfield in three sets, 20-25, 25-22, 15-12.
T-town then faced Lawrenceville and won, 25-16, 25-22. The Shoes handed North Clay a loss, 25-20, 25-17.
The Shoes fell to Newton, 25-14, 24-26, 15-7 and won over Oblong, 25-22, 25-13.
T-town was second in pool play after losing to Fairfield. They lost to Newton in the Silver Bracket semi-final match.
The Shoes are back in action Tuesday hosting Marshall.
North Clay/Clay City finished 2-3 at the Fairfield Tourney.
The Cardinals lost to Fairfield 25-21, 25-17 and fell to T-town, 25-20, 25-17. The Cardinals then lost to Lawrenceville 25-18, 25-15 before finishing out with two victories. North Clay beat Cisne 25-17, 25-21 and won over Mount Vernon 25-17, 26-24.
The Cardinals are now 3-4 on the season and will be back in action Tuesday at St. Anthony.

At St. Anthony
Effingham will play host to Effingham St. Anthony at the annual Pink Out Night today.
The freshman/sophomore match will begin the evening at 5 followed by the junior varsity match and the varsity contest.
Proceeds from the match will go to the Women's Wellness Center at HSHS St. Anthony's Hospital.
