Dieterich, T-town, CHBC, S. Central, SEB Win In Volleyball

CISNE -- Dieterich High School went two sets to hand Cisne a loss in volleyball action Tuesday.
The Movin' Maroons won 25-12, 25-19 to improve to 2-0 on the young season.
Marli Michl led Dieterich with eight digs, 17 kills and one blocked shot. Bailey Brummer had 19 assists and Bailey McClain three aces.

At Teutopolis
Teutopolis had to fight but pulled out a three-set victory over Richland County, Olney Tuesday.
Olney picked up the opening set by a 25-23 tally, but the Wooden Shoes came back with a 25-18 second set and then won the contest, 25-17 to improve to 2-0.
Marie Zumbahlen led the Shoes in blocks with two and kills with seven. Megan Brummer, Elise Pals and Paige Swingler had two aces each.Claresa Ruholl had nine digs while Gabby Tegler led in points with eight and Sara Zumbahlen led in assists with 12.
T-town also claimed the junior varsity win, 25-20, 25-19.
The Wooden Shoes are back in action Thursday playing host to Salem.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City was a winner over Mulberry Grove in two sets Tuesday.
The Bobcats won the opener 25-13 and came back with a 25-21 tally to take the match.
Ellie Miller led the winners in kills with seven and digs with 10 while Haley Doty had three aces and 11 assists.
Mulberry Grove claimed the junior varsity match, 25-9, 13-25, 29-27.

South Central opened its season with a three-set victory over Ramsey Tuesday evening.
The Cougars won 25-12, 23-25, 25-18. Mya Schaal led in the kill department with 12. Reagan Roberts had 25 assists. Lauren Johnson and Jalynn Mitchell had two aces each. Maddie Peddicord led in digs with 12.
South Central also nabbed the junior varsity match, 25-23, 25-7.
At Ramsey

St. Elmo/Brownstown picked up its second win of the season by downing Martinsville Tuesday evening.
St. Elmo/Brownstown won the opener 25-22 and came back to take the match, 25-12.
Madi Miller led the team in kills with five. Addie Sasse had three aces and eight assists. Miller and Avree Strobel had one blocked shot each. Jaide Wilhour led in digs with five.

North Clay/Clay City fell to host Robinson Tuesday evening.
Robinson was a winner in the varsity match, 25-13, 25-21.
The Maroons also claimed the junior varsity match 25-18, 25-21.
North Clay/Clay City was a winner in the freshman/sophomore contest, 25-12, 21-16.
At Neoga
Okaw Valley opened with a victory in the first set against Neoga Tuesday evening with a 30-28 victory.
But Neoga came back with 25-19, 25-13 tallies for the match win.
Kember Bryant led the team in blocks with five, aces with three and kills with four. Katelyn Strohl and Laura Knobloch also had four kills each. Knobloch led in digs with 11 while Audrey Kepp had four assists.

Cumberland fell to Oblong/Palestine/Hutsonville in both varsity and junior varsity action Tuesday.
O/P/H claimed a 25-19, 25-18 victory in the varsity match. Suzy Fritts led Cumberland in assists with eight. Alysa Dittamore had six kills. Mia Holsapple and Hannah Shoemaker had two blocks each. Fritts and Holsapple had one ace each. Maddy McElravy led in digs with five.
O/P/H also won the junior varsity contest, 25-13, 25-6.
