St. Thomas was a winner 25-12, 25-12 in seventh-grade play. Effingham as led by Alayna Wade with three assists and two digs, Skylar Harminson and Tylee Johnson with two digs each, Sophie Niebrugge, Addy Veach and Sophie Hahney had one ace each and April Martin had three kills and one block.
In the eighth-grade match, St. Thomas was a winner, 25-23, 25-23. Effingham was led by Emery Spicer with five kills, Seatyn Althoff with eight assists, Alaina Miller and Keagyn Koenig with three aces each, Nora Cekander and Addison Barnes with one block each and Cekander with 12 digs.

At Teutopolis
Teutopolis handed Altamont two losses in seventh- and eighth-grade action Tuesday.
The Wooden Shoes won the seventh-grade contest, 25-7, 25-12. Faith Ruholl opened set one with 15 consecutive aces and finished with 16 for the match. Lexi Hoene led in kills with four.
In eighth-grade action, T-town was a winner, 25-11, 25-19. T-town was led by Ella Willenborg with seven aces. Ceciia Donsbach, Kiley Bloemer, Alicen Niemerg and Lynae Einhorn had two kills each.
Both T-town teams are 13-2 on the season and back in action Thursday at Shelbyville.

At Strasburg
Stewardson-Strasburg split with Shelbyville Moulton in Tuesday evening competition.
Shelbyville claimed the seventh-grade match, 25-16, 25-12.
Stew-Stras was led by Anna Brown with six assists, Camille Helmink with three aces, Zoey Conder with seven digs and Lorelei McCormick with four kills. The squad dropped to 9-10 on the season.
In eighth-grade play, Stew-Stras was a winner, 25-13, 25-8 and improved to 16-1 on the season.
Edie Wittenberg led the winners in digs with seven, aces with three, assists with nine and had one block. Ava Harris also had one block. Jackie Vonderheide led in aces with four.

At Louisville
North Clay (Louisville) defeated Dieterich in both matches Tuesday evening.
North Clay won the seventh-grade contest, 25-21, 25-22.
In the eighth-grade match, North Clay was a winner 27-25, 25-9 to improve to 5-3 in the Junior National Trail Conference and 10-8 overall.
North Clay returns to action Thrusday at South Central for the annual Pink Out match at 3:45 p.m.
