Stew-Stras captured the 7th grade and 8th grade contests Thursday against Neoga.

7th Grade--Stew-Stras won over Neoga 12-25, 25-18, 25-10.

Jasper County won the 7th grade and 8th grade contests over Albion

7th Grade--Jasper County won 25-20, 26-24 to improve to 10-2

8th Grade-Jasper County won 25-17, 25-13 to improve to 11-1

Teutopolis won the 7th grade and 8th grade contests over Dieterich

7th Grade--Teutopolis won 25-15, 25-11

8th Grade--Teutopolis won 25-14, 25-18

Both Teutopolis teams are 11-2.

 

North Clay lost to Fairfield Thursday

7th Grade--North Clay lost 22-25, 20-25

8th Grade--North Clay lost 17-25, 21-25

The North Clay volleyball record is 9-6.

 

At Cowden

Mulberry Grove claimed two victories over Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Thursday.

Mulberry Grove won the opening set in seventh-grade play, 25-23 before CHBC came back with a 25-20 victory. Mulberry Grove then won the match, 25-15.

Natalie Tucker led CHBC in points with nine and aces with five. Harper Lilly had four assists and four digs.Sophie Zumbahlen led in kills with six. Raylee Martin had two blocks

"This was one of their best played games," said CHBC Coach Angela Jefferies. "It shows me that they know what to do, they only need to consistently do it and not lack the confidence. They could have won this match had they not had so many serving errors."

In eighth-grade play,  CHBC fell to Mulberry Grove, 25-19, 25-14.

Brylie Prater led in points with seven and aces with three. Ethel Stuckemeyer had five blocks.Jayla Arnett and Zoe Sarver had two digs each. Arnett led in kills with two. Allison Shields and Stuckemeyer had one assist each.

At Cowden
