"The first set we coudln't serve, nerves were high and it was a huge loss. However, the girls dug down, found what they had to offer and won the second set. They played well for the third set, but not enough to take the win. I am so proud of how these girls adapted and supported each other."

CHBC was led by Allison Shields with four aces, two kills and two digs, Bennett with eight points, Carissa Wakefield with three blocks, two assists and two digs and Ethel Stuckemeyer with two digs

"We only had a team of four eighth-graders playing tonight since one was sick and five were out for cheerleading," said Coach Jefferies. "We had seventh-graders come up to help even when it included not playing their normal position. I am so pleased with the game that they played. They hustled, encouraged each other and have a serving percentage of 92%. They should hold their heads up high."
