Stewardson Trinity competed at Peoria in a tournament with all Lutheran schools.
Trinity played two pool play matches and won its pool. They won the first match in bracket play putting them in the Fnal Four.
Trinity lost the next match putting them into the third place contest. The team defeated Yorkville Cross to finish third.
"It was a tough match," said Coach Tammy Manhart. "We played better as the match went on which worked to our advantage. I am extremely proud of this group. With having such a talented group of eighth-graders last year, this group does not have much experience playing at this level. They are learning and growing as a team. I believe there is going to be a lot of success in their future."
