Pool A -- Newton defeated Arcola, 25-15, 25-16; Triad defeated Tolono Unity, 25-21, 25-22; Newton defeated Troy Triad, 25-15, 25-16; Tolono Unity defeated Arcola; Newton defeated Tolono Unity and Triad defeated Arcola.
Pool B -- St.Anthony defeated Uni High, 25-16, 25-18; Bloomimgton Central Catholic defeated Shelbyville, 25-18, 25-20; St. Anthony defeated Shelbyville, 25-20, 25-13; Bloomington C.C. defeated Uni High, 25-10, 25-8 and Bloomington C.C. defeated St. Anthony, 25-18, 25-21.
In crossover play, St. Anthony defeated Newton, 25-20, 25-22 and Bloomington C.C. defeated Triad, 25-21, 25-20.
In the championship match, Bloomington Central Catholic downed St. Anthony, 17-25, 25-20, 15-8.
Third place went to Newton over Triad.
Newton downed Arcola 25-15, 25-16, Triad 25-18, 25-15 and Tolono Unity 25-23, 25-15.
The Eagles lost to St. Anthony 25-20, 25-22 then won the third place match over Triad 25-19, 25-19.

Effingham competed in the Charleston Invitational Saturday and finished tied for first with a 4-1 record.
Highland ended up winning on the tiebreaker because of a higher point differential. Bella Austin and Hannah Thompson were named to the All-Tournament Team.
The Hearts defeated Decatur MacArthur, 25-6, 25-8, fell to Highland, 25-17, 25-17, downed Charleston 25-12, 25-18 and Mattoon 25-22, 25-14 and finished out with a win over Carbondale, 25-23, 25-15.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City and South Central competed in the Vandalia Tournament Saturday.
South Central captured second place. The Cougars went undefeated in pool play with wins over Vandalia, 25-20, 26-24; East Alton-Wood River, 19-25, 25-14, 16-14 and Salem, 23-25, 25-12, 15-7.
South Central then fell in the championship match against Carlyle, 27-25, 25-23. The Cougars are 11-6 on the season.
Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City lost to Hillsboro, 25-16, 25-18; lost to Carlyle, 25-18, 25-15; won over New Athens, 25-16, 25-21 and lost to Salem, 25-16, 25-22.
