The Sharpshooters won the seventh-grade match, 25-21, 25-20.
T-town dropped to 11-7 on the season.
"We got a lot of good swings tonight (33) but we had unforced errors with our serve-receive and that proved the difference unfortunately," said T-town Coach Anthony Munoz. "But it is good to play good teams before you get to a postseason."
The Shoes were led by Ella Willenborg and Alicen Niemerg with three kills each, Cecilia Donsbach with eight aces and two assists. Willenborg led in digs with 13 and Emma Isley had one block.
In eighth-grade action, T-town fell to 15-5 with a 25-8, 25-10 loss.
"Athletes often wonder what D1 players look like," said T-town Coach Jim Dietz. "Tonight, afterwards in the locker room, I said, 'Looks like No. 13 on the other side of the net. She'll be playing college ball at that level."
"What I liked about our play is we tried a different lineup to slow Hatton down and though it didn't work, no one flinched and we tried. We worked hard but we couldn't put a ball down against their scrappy defense. Now we come back with a similar situation tomorrow against Trinity."
Marie Zumbahlen led in digs with 24 for the Shoes while Brittany Swingler and Madison Probst had two assists each and Genevieve Mette led in kills with three.
