KINMUNDY -- South Central swept through the seventh- and eighth-grade over Dieterich in junior high volleyball action Monday.

The seventh-grade contest went to the homestanders 25-19, 25-17. South Central is now 4-1 on the season.

In eighth-grade play, South Central won 25-6, 25-13 to improve to 3-2.

 

At Louisville

Stewardson-Strasburg downed North Clay (Louisville).

Stew-Stras claimed the seventh-grade match, 25-17, 25-13. Leading Stew-Stras were Edie  Wittenberg with four aces and six assists, Jackie Vonderheide with four kills and Andie Reynold with four digs..

In eighth-grade play, Stew-Stras was a 25-1, 25-11 winners. Kendra Hayes had nine aces and two digs, Claire VonBehrens two digs and four assists; Brooke Schumacher two digs, Kennedy Kull six kills and Maddie Clark two digs.

Both teams are now 4-1 on the season.

North Clay dropped to 1-3 in the National Trail Conference, 1-3 overall and is back in action Tuesday at Iuka.
