The Mustangs were winners in the seventh-grade match in three sets. Effingham won the opener 26-24 but Robinson took the second set, 25-9. Effingham won the match 25-18.
Keagyn Koenig led in kills with nine. Seatyn Althoff led in assists with five and aces with four. Madilyn Summers also had four aces. Nora Cekander led in digs with four.
In eighth-grade play, Effingham won 25-21, 25-20.
Gieah Schlanser had seven kills and six aces. Bailey Bohnhoff led in assists with seven. Tessa Raddatz led in digs with five. Camdyn Burgholzer, Kallie Phillips, Raddatz and Melia Wendling led in blocks with one each.

At St. Elmo
South Central downed St. Elmo/Brownstown in seventh-grade play, but SEB took the eighth-grade match Friday.
In the seventh-grade contest, South Central was a 25-13, 25-22 winner and improved to 3-1.
In eighth-grade play, St. Elmo/Brownstown won 25-21, 25-15. South Central dropped to 2-2.
At Sigel
Sigel St. Michael was a winner over Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Friday.
The Sharpshooters took the seventh-grade match, 25-5, 25-10.
CHBC was led by Carissa Wakefield and Adilynn Nowitzke with two points each. Wakefield had two aces and one assist. Jayla Arnett had one assist. Ethel Stuckemeyer and Nowitzke had one kill each. Allison Shields and Ford Carlisle had two digs each.
"Observing the score wouldn't give you a very good idea of how hard these girls fought," said CHBC Caoch Angela Jefferies. "There wer some excellent raliles and the team executed some great plays. Seeing these moments against a much stronger team showed that they have a lot to give. Only one serve was missed in both games."
In eighth-grade action, St. Michael won 25-12, 25-7.
"Sigel's eighth-grade team is a powerhouse and we let them slip into our heads," said Coach Jefferies. "We started off with some excellent plays, but lost our momentum and couldn't get it back."
CHBC was led by Keaira Arnold with three points and one ace, Gabby Wakefield with one ace and two kills, Haley Doty with three assists. Lena Bowlin with two kills and six digs.
