North Clay was a winner in the seventh-grade match, 25-22, 25-11.
Leading CHBC were Ethel Stuckemeyer with six points and two aces, Jayla Arnett with two assists, Allison Shields with three kills and Adilynn Nowitzke and Zoe Sarver with two digs each.
"This was a tough game for our girls," said CHBC Coach Angela Jefferies. "We had issues receiving serves and moving around the court. These girls have some excellent potential; we just need to focus on a couple of areas."
In eighth-grade competition, CHBC was a 25-21, 25-10 winner.
Haley Doty led in points with 14, aces with eight and one assist. Lena Bowlin and Alaynnah Rauch had one assist each. Lena Bowlin led in kills with four. Gabby Wakefield had two blocks and Keaira Arnold had one dig.
"Tonight we had our full team and were able to play to our full capacity," said Coach Jefferies. "The girls worked well together and improved their serve percentage . I'm very pleased with their games tonight. While we have some kills to imrpove on, I am happy with where we are at this point in the season."
At Cowden

At Casey
Teutopolis downed Casey-Westfield in both seventh- and eighth-grade matches Thursday.
The Wooden Shoes won the seventh-grade match, 25-18, 25-21 and improved to 4-2 on the season.
Leading T-town were Ella Willenborg and Alicen Niemerg with four kills each, Emma Vahling with seven aces and six assists and Lynae Einhorn with nine digs.
T-town then claimed the eighth-grade match, 25-20, 25-21 and is now 5-1 on the season.
Gabby Tegeler had five kills and five aces for the Shoes while Brittany Swingler led in assists with 10 and Marie Zumbahlen in digs with 19.
At Casey

Jasper County was a winner in the seventh-grade match over Altamont Thursday.
Jasper County won 25-11, 25-13 to improve to 2-3 on the season. Reich led in aces with five and digs with one. Tate had one dig. Flowers and Keller had one assist each. Ghast, Jones, Dhom, Keller and Bright had one kills each.
In eighth-grade play, Jasper County won 25-8, 25-11 and is 4-1 on the season.
Ochs led in aces with 10, blocks with one and digs with one. Bierman had one dig. Shull led in assists with two. Fehrenbacher, Probst, Ochs, Warfel and Michl had one kills each.
Jasper County is back in action Tuesday at Oblong.

Stewardson-Strasburg downed Effingham Sacred Heart in both seventh- and eighth-grade action Thursday.
Stew-Stras won the seventh-grade match, 25-18, 25-14. Karly Wetherell led in aces with seven and kills with five. Edie Wittenberg had five assists. Jackie Vonderheide led in aces with three.
In eighth-grade action, Stew-Stras won 25-21, 25-21. Kendra Hayes had six aces and five assists while Claire VonBehrens led in digs with three and Kennedy Kull had six kills.
