Taylorville came calling and picked up two victories over Effingham in junior high volleyball competition Wednesday.

In the seventh-grade match, Effingham lost the opening set 25-19 but came back with 25-23, 25-23 counts for the match win.

Keagyn Koenig and Emery Spicer led in kills with six each. Seatyn Althoff and Alaina MIller had six assists each. Spicer led in aces with seven and digs with seven.

In the eighth-grade match, the Mustangs won the opener 25-22 but Taylorville took the next two matches for the win, 25-10, 25-18.

Bailey Bohnhoff, Camdyn Burgholzer and Tessa Raddatz had three kills each. Burgholzer led in assists with six. Gieah Schlanser had 10 aces. Bohnhoff led in blocks with two. Bohnhoff, Macy Kirk and Raddatz had five digs each.
