"We fell in a 10-1 hole to start the first set and clawed out of it behind the serving of Sara Swingler to tie the game at 13," said T-town Coach Jim Dietz. "We took the lead 20-19 before giving up six points to lose the first set with the unforced errors continuing for the first four points of the second set.

"Our front row struggled quite a bit tonight, more unforced errors than we had kills and you don't win when that happens. It's a pity because our serve-receive was excellent and gave us 70 swings and we were only aced once the entire match. The pieces are all here, we just need them all showing up at once, so now we'll work on the hitting. We get even average hitting when we pass like tonight and we'll win ballgames."

The Shoes junior varsity won 23-25, 25-13, 15-11 and the frosh/soph also won 23-21, 21-11.
