The Mustangs claimed the seventh-grade match, but had to go three sets. Effingham won 25-8 before St. Thomas took the second set 25-22. Effingham came back for the match 25-15.
In eighth-grade competition, Effingham again won the opener 25-23 with St. Thomas taking the next set 25-19. Effingham then won 25-22.

CHBC was a winner in the seventh-grade matchup, 25-12, 25-10.
In eighth-grade play, Sacred Heart came out the winner, 25-22, 25-20.

Teutopolis handed Altamont losses in both seventh- and eighth-grade play Tuesday.
The Wooden Shoes claimed the seventh-grade match, 25-15, 25-11 and are now 12-2 on the season.
In eighth-grade play, T-town was a 25-6, 25-15 winner and improves to 10-4.
The Shoes will be back in action Thursday at Shelbyville at 4:30 p.m.

Jasper County went all three sets in both seventh- and eighth-grade play Tuesday and pulled out the victories over Olney.
Jasper County took the opening set in seventh-grade action, 25-14. Olney took the second set 25-20 before Jasper County won the match 25-15 to improve to 8-5.
In eighth-grade play, Jasper County fell in the opener 25-11 but came back to win 25-15, 32-30. Jasper County is now 9-4 on the season and will be back in action Thursday hosting Charleston at 4:30 p.m.
