WSS Picks Up Volleyball Victory, CHBC Falls To Ramsey

The Hatchets won the opener 25-14 but Cumberland came back to take the second set, 25-13. Windsor/Stew-Stras then got back on track with a 25-19 score for the victory.
"We struggled some tonight but was able to fight back for the win," said WSS Coach Ronda Schlechte. "Cumberland has a nice team, some good competition."
Halle Moomaw led the winners in kills with six. Ella Kinkelaar had four aces and 23 assists. Gabby Vonderheide and Kinley Quast had 10 digs each.
The Hatchets improve to 3-0 on the season and won't be back in action until Thursday, Sept. 9 hosting Altamont.
Cumberland claimed the junior varsity contest, 25-21, 25-22. WSS drops to 2-1.

Ramsey claimed both varsity and junior varsity wins over Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Wednesday.
In the varsity match, Ramsey won 25-16, 25-15. CHBC dropped to 2-2 on the season.
Leading CHBC were Gracie Heckert with six kills and 10 digs, Madison Wojcik with three aces, eight assists and seven points.
In the junior vasrity match, Ramsey was a winner, 25-17, 25-16. CHBC dropped to 1-3.
