T-town, Altamont Win, EHS, Neoga, Clay City Drop Volleyball Matches

The Wooden Shoes claimed the varsity match, 25-18, 25-23. T-town was led by Carly Michels with six kills, Molly Pals with four aces, Macy Swingler with 12 digs, Sara Swingler with four aces and nine points and Hannah Rodgers with eight assists.
T-town improved to 4-7 on the season.
In the junior varsity match, T-town was a winner, 21-25, 25-12, 15-8.
The Wooden Shoes freshman/sophomore squad won the match, 21-17, 21-18.
At Teutopolis

Altamont improved to 9-2 on the season with a win over Vandalia Tuesday evening.
The Indians won in two sets, 25-9, 25-16.
McManaway led the team in assists with 22. Eckhardt had six digs and five aces. Mette led in kills with six. Runge had two blocks.
In the junior varsity match, Altamont was a winner, 25-9, 25-15 to improve to 8-3 on the season.

Neoga fell in the varsity match against Moweaqua Central A&M, 25-23, 25-13.
Andrea Burcham and Abbi Dow had three kills each for the Indians. Gracie Gresens led in blocks with five. Ella Shuler was the leader in digs with three. Burcham and Trista Moore had two assists each.
In the junior varsity contest, Central A&M claimed the victory, 23-25, 25-22, 15-12.

Effingham fell to Taylorville in Apollo Conference action Tuesday evening,
The Tornadoes won 25-21, 25-16.
The Hearts were led in digs by Jacy Boatman with 11, in kills by Samantha Urch with five and in assists by Tori Budde with nine.
In the junior varsity contest, the Tornadoes claimed the win, 25-9, 25-9. Taylorville also won the freshman/sophomroe match, 19-21, 23-21, 15-13.
The Hearts are back in action Thursday hosting Teutopolis.

Clay City nabbed a victory over Cisne in volleyball action Tuesday evening.
The Wolves lost the opener, 25-10 but came back with 25-22, 25-19 counts for the match.
Top hitter for Clay City was Morgan Hance with 22 hits and seven kills. She also had one ace. Hailey Miller led in aces with three and had seven kills. Sammie Craig led in kills with eight.
In the junior varsity match, Clay City was a winner, 25-4, 25-15.
