DECATUR -- Stewardson-Strasburg claimed the championship of the Class 8-1A Decatur Volleyball Sectional Thursday.

The Comets handed Decatur Lutheran a loss in two sets, 25-12, 25-18. The Comets end with a perfect 16-0 record on the season.

Samantha Hayes led the squad with 10 assists, three aces and 14 points. Kinley Quast led in kills with seven and digs with 11.

Class 8-2A St. Anthony Sectional

Altamont downed Effingham St. Anthony to win the Class 8-2A St. Anthony Sectional Thursday.

The Indians won 25-16, 25-16 to finish the season with a 14-4 record and were 9-1 in the National Trail Conference.

Lemke led the team in kills with eight while Reardon had 10 digs and seven aces. Splechtor led in assists with 11.

Class 8-3A Jasper County Sectional

Jasper County claimed the sectional championship of its own sectional Thursday.

Jasper County defeated Robinson Nuttall, 25-16, 25-17 to finish the season with a perfect 13-0 record.

A. Mulvey, S. Kinder,  B. Frichtl and A. Stanley led in aces with three each. Mulvey had four kills and four assists. A. Collins had one block. C Martin led in digs with 12.
