St. Anthony claimed its own seventh-grade sectional Wednesday. Effingham St. Anthony, Sigel St. Michael and Jasper County claimed sectional championships Wednesday. There will be no state tournament this year.
The Bullpups downed Altamont, 25-17, 25-13 at their own Class 7-2A sectional.
Altamont ended the season with a 7-11 overall record. Rippetoe, Lurkens, Spar and Stock had two aces each. Rippetoe, Goeckner and Stock had two digs each. Rippetoe added two blocks.

Class 7-3A Jasper County Sectional
Jasper County picked up the championship of its own sectional Wednesday.
Jasper County defeated Robinson Nuttall, 25-15 in the opener. Nuttall came back with a 25-22 victory before Jasper County won the match, 28-26.
Holder had six aces for the winners and two assists, Reich nine kills and a block and Kidwell two digs.

Class 1A Decatur Lutheran Sectional
Sigel St. Michael claimed the championship of this sectional by downing the host squad, Decatur Lutheran, 25-21, 27-25.
