Stewardson-Strasburg claimed the Class 8-1A Stew-Stras Regional Tuesday.

Stewardson-Strasburg claimed the championship of its own Class 8-1A Volleyball Regional Tuesday.

Stew-Stras downed Effingham Sacred Heart, 25-17, 25-12.

Kinley Quast led Stew-Stras in points with 12 and aces with five. Ellie Wittenberg had six kills. Samantha Hayes had 10 assists.

Stew-Stras advances to the sectional, to be determined, Thursday against Decatur Lutheran.

Class 8-2A Altamont Regional

Altamont captured the championship of its own regional Tuesday evening.

Altamont downed North Clay (Louisville), 25-19, 25-16 to end the season with a 12-4 overall mark and the squad had a 9-1 National Trail Conference record.

Lemke led Altamont in kills with six and digs with seven. Reardon led in aces with five. Splechtor had 11 assists.

Altamont advances to face Effingham St. Anthony at the St. Anthony Sectional Thursday at 6 p.m.

Class 8-3A Jasper County Regional

Jasper County claimed the championship of its own regional Tuesday.

Jasper County won over Vandalia, 25-19, 25-19 and is now 12-0 on the season.

Jasper County will host the sectional Thursday with the host squad meeting Robinson Nuttall at 4:30 p.m.

Martinsville downed host Casey-Westfield Tuesday.

Casey-Westfield claimed the opening set, 25-17 before Martinsville came back with 25-21, 25-14 counts for the match and championship.
