CHARLESTON -- Effingham traveled to Charleston for junior high volleyball competition Saturday.
The Mustangs won the seventh-grade match, 25-15, 25-16 to improve to 6-1 on the season.
In eighth-grade action, Effingham was a 25-13, 25-17 winner and now stands at 6-2 on the season.
The Mustangs are back in action today hosting Olney.

At Mattoon
Teutopolis picked up two victories over Mattoon Saturday.
The Wooden Shoes claimed the seventh-grade match, 25-11, 25-7 and now stands at 4-5 on the season.
In eighth-grade competition, T-town won the opener 25-13 before Mattoon came back to take the second set, 25-15. T-town then won the match, 25-14. The Shoes are now 4-5.
T-town will be back in action Tuesday, playing host to Altamont.

North Clay and St. Elmo/Brownstown split wins Saturday.
St. Elmo/Brownstown claimed the seventh-grade match, 25-19, 26-24.
North Clay was a winner in the eighth-grade match, 25-23, 25-20.
