In the championship match, Germantown was a winner 26-24, 25-16.

"The girls really played hard today, beating teams who were so much bigger and older," said Stewardson Trinity Coach Ronda Schlechte. "I'm a very proud coach. They always play their hearts out. Bartelso's enrollment is 122, Thompsonville 221, Waltonville 243 and Germantown 241. Trinity is 45 and to play with these big teams and win or stay with them is a huge accomplishment.

"Our fall season we were 16-2 getting beat only by Christ Peoria twice and in the spring we finished 23-1 for a total of 39-3. We finished second at LSA state, first at St. Anthony Tournament and Effingham's sevneth-grade tournament and we were regional champions."
