Charleston Volleyball Regional Postponed Again; Neoga Falls in 8-2A Play

Effingham will have to wait again for play in the Class 8-4A Charleston Volleyball Regional.
For the second straight day, weather took care of the eighth-grade regional. Matches from Wednesday have been moved to today with the championship now scheduled for Friday at 5 p.m.
Today's matches will feature Effingham against Urbana at 4:30 p.m. and Danville North Ridge facing Danville South View at 5:30. The winners of those two matches advance. The Effingham-Urbana winner meets Mattoon at 6:30 followed by Charleston taking on the winner of the two Danvilles at 7:30.
The winners of the final two matches advance to the championship and the winner of that advances to the Mahomet-Seymour Sectional against the winner of the Champaign Jefferson Regional Monday at 6 p.m.
Class 8-2A Findlay Okaw Valley Regional
Neoga saw its season come to an end in the Findlay Okaw Valley Regional Wednesday evening.
Neoga fell to Arcola 25-23, 25-20. In the second match, Nokomis defeated Arthur 14-25, 25-12, 25-22.
Arcola and Nokomis advance to the regional championship at 6 p.m. today.
