Regional Volleyball Roundup -- March 5

Effingham Sacred Heart and West Salem advanced in the Class 8-1A Effingham Sacred Heart Volleyball Regional Tuesday evening.

West Salem defeated Windsor in the opening match, 25-8, 25-12.

In the second match, host Sacred Heart won over Dieterich, 25-16, 25-10.

The two squads advance to the championship match Thursday at 6 p.m.

Class 4A Charleston Regional

Effingham's trip to the Charleston Regional was postponed. The Mustangs will face Urbana today at 4:30 p.m. while Danville North Ridge meets Danville South View at 5:30 p.m.

If Effingham wins its opening match, it will return to play at 6:30 p.m. today against the winner of the two Danville squads.
