Effingham St. Anthony picked up two victories over North Clay (Louisville) in junior high volleyball competition Tuesday.

The Bullpups won the seventh-grade match, 25-15, 25-18. North Clay dropped to 0-2.

In the eighth-grade match, North Clay took the opener 25-23 but St. Anthony came back with 25-19, 25-11 counts for the match.

At Windsor

Effingham Sacred Heart and Windsor both picked up a victory Tuesday evening.

Windsor claimed the seventh-grade match. Windsor opened with a 25-21 count but Sacred Heart took the second set, 27-25. Windsor then won the match, 25-16.

In eighth-grade play, Sacred Heart won 25-20, 25-16.

At Teutopolis

Charleston came calling and claimed the seventh-grade match over Teutopolis Tuesday but the Wooden Shoes took the eighth-grade contest.

Charelston won the opener 25-17 before T-town took a 25-14 second set. Charleston then won 25-23. T-town dropped to 3-7.

In the eighth-grade contest, T-town was a 25-19, 25-19 winner and improved to 9-1.

At Teutopolis

At Dieterich

Altamont and Dieterich picked up a win each in Tuesday action.

Altamont captured the seventh-grade match, 25-12, 25-18 to improve to 4-1 in the National Trail Conference, 6-3 overall.

Dieterich then took the eighth-grade contest. Dieterich won 25-19 before Altamont claimed a 25-10 set. Dieterich then went out at 25-7. Altamont drops to 0-5 in the conference, 0-9 overall.

In a sixth-grade match, Dieterich won 25-17 and Altamont won 19-16.

Jasper County and Cumberland split victories Tuesday.

Jasper County picked up the seventh-grade match, 25-10, 25-22 to remain unbeaten at 8-0.

In eighth-grade play, Cumberland claimed the win 25-16, 9-25, 25-19. Jasper County dropped to 5-3.

Clay City won two of the three matches over Grayville Tuesday.

Clay City took the C contest, 22-25, 25-14, 25-19.

In the seventh-grade match, Grayville was a 25-23, 26-24 winner.

The eighth-grade contest went to Clay City, 25-20, 25-3. Clay City is 2-0 on the season.
