T-town was led by Holly Heuerman with eight digs, Carly Michels with three blocks, five aces and 14 points, Erica Michels with 13 kills and Ciara Roepke with five digs.
"The end always seems to come quickly," said T-town Coach Tim Mills. "I know the girls weren't ready for it to end and they left everything on the court. The best way I can describe the match is after it ended a parent from Vandalia told me, 'We came to watch our girls play but your match was worth the price of admission.'
"In the first set we spotted them six points and never recovered. We made a late push to shrink the deficit but we never really were in the set. We totally dominated set two. We got out to an early lead and just pounded Paris' defense and serve receive. Unfortunately, we stumbled early in set three, falling behind 4-1. We still trailed by three when I called my last timeout at 20-17.
"I told the girls they could still win but only if they went out and attacked hard and fast. Nothing soft, everything they had but it had to be clean. They were awesome. They wipped out the three points and tied the match at 24. We couldn't finish it, however, as Paris put the last two points down.
"The student body filled our end of the gym and they made the atmosphere in the gym electric. Thanks to all the students and adults that came out and supported us. The girls really fed off the energy."
T-town ended the season with a 19-17 record.
