Charleston defeated Effingham in Apollo Conference action 25-19, 25-19 Thursday.

For Effingham: Eliza Montgomery--two blocks; Taylor O'Dell--five assists and one dig; Hayley Diveley--one kill, 12 assists, four digs; Alexis Chrappa--three kills, four aces, six digs; Kennedy Sowell--two kills, two digs, three blocks; Sam Urch--three kills, one block; Jacy Boatman--10 kills, eight digs; Callie Feldhake--one assist, one ace, four digs, one block; Olivia Martin--seven digs

Charleston won the JV match 24-26, 25-13, 15-13. Effingham won the freshman match 21-14, 21-14.

Marshall defeated St. Anthony Thursday 25-10, 25-17.

St. Anthony won the JV match 20-25, 25-17, 15-8. Marshall won the freshman match 25-17, 13-8.

Teutopolis won over Neoga Thursday 25-11, 25-21.

Teutopolis Coach Tim Mills said the biggest cheer of the night came when Ciara Repking blasted an attack into the blocker and the ball bounced off the blocker all the way back over the court and through the basketball goal. Nothing but net! A funny moment!

Teutopolis is now 8-5 on the fall. Teutopolis won the JV match 25-19, 10-25, 25-12. Teutopolis won the freshman match 25-19, 25-11.

Windsor/Stew-Stras defeated St. Elmo/Brownstown 25-16, 25-21 Thursday.

Hatchets Coach Ronda Schlechte said, "Hopefully, tonight was a confidence booster. We focused on new offensive plays. We also had a few new faces on the floor while we take care of injuries."
