CHBC, T-town, C'land Claim Volleyball Victories

MULBERRY GROVE -- Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City handed Mulberry Grove a loss in varsity and junior varsity action Tuesday.
CHBC won the varsity contest, 25-16, 25-21. Tatyana Duckwitz led in kills with five. Paeton Underwood had three aces. Kylee Bertin led in assists with seven. Jacque Witteborg had six digs.
CHBC also nabbed the junior varsity match, 25-21, 25-17.

At Dieterich
Cisne picked up wins over Dieterich in both varsity and junior varsity action Tuesday.
The Lions claimed the varsity contest, 25-19, 25-21. Dieterich drops to 1-1.
The Movin' Maroons were led by Emily Bloemer in kills with six, Gabby Hardiek in assists with seven, Kaitlyn Boerngen in digs with 10 and Taylor Curry in blocks with two. The Maroons are 1-1.
In the junior varsity match, Cisne won 25-22, 25-13. Dieterich drops to 0-2.

At Olney
Teutopolis picked up a varsity victory over Olney Tuesday.
The Wooden Shoes won 25-10, 25-13.
Teutopolis won the freshman contest but lost in junior varsity play.
At Toledo
Cumberland claimed a win in two sets over Oblong, 25-10, 25-15 Tuesday.
Zoe Mtichell and Madison Hendrix had four kills each for the winners while Taylor McMechan added seven assists. Mackenzie Taylor led in digs with seven. Katelyn Yaw had three blocks.
At Neoga
Okaw Valley claimed a victory over Neoga in varsity competition Tuesday.
Okaw Valley won 25-17, 25-18. Leading Neoga were Haley Stodden with 15 digs, Audrey Ramert with three kills and Olivia Titus with three kills.
At Clay City
Robinson came calling and handed Clay City a loss in varsity action. Robinson won the opener 25-21 but Clay City took the second set, 25-22. Robinson then won 25-22.
The Maroons also nabbed the junior varsity contest, 28-26, 25-21.
