Junior High School Volleyball -- Feb. 11

Effingham played host to Charleston in junior high school volleyball action and split victories Monday.

Charleston claimed the seventh-grade match. The Mustangs won the opener 25-22 but Charleston came back with 25-19, 25-21 counts for the win. Effingham drops to 11-5 on the season.

In eighth-grade action, Effingham was a winner. The Mustangs won the opener 25-23 before Charleston came back with a 25-17 victory. The Mustangs then took the match 25-20 and are now 12-1 on the season.

Olney claimed two victories over Jasper County Monday.

The seventh-grade match went to Olney, 25-17, 10-25, 15-2. Jasper County drops to 5-9 on the season.

In eighth-grade action, Jasper County won the opener 25-19 but Olney came back with a 25-19 count and then claimed the match 15-9. Jasper County fell to 5-8.

Robinson claimed the seventh-grade match, 25-20, 25-20. T-town dropped to 12-6 on the season.

In eighth-grade play, T-town won the opener 28-26 but Robinson came back with 25-22, 25-21 counts for the win. T-town is now 9-6.
