Effingham fell to Taylorville 23-25, 27-25, 20-25 in a tough Apollo Conference match at EHS Tuesday.
For Effingham: Miranda Fox two assists and 15 digs; Olivia Martin five assists, one block and 13 digs; Kiyah Kuhlman seven kills, one ace, four blocks and three digs; Carsyn Fearday one kill, 23 assists, three aces, three blocks and 21 digs; Lexi Chrappa six kills, one block and two digs; Jacy Boatman seven kills, one assist, one ace and five digs; Natalie Carie 14 kills, two assists, one block and 10 digs.
Effingham's next action will be Friday in the Crossroads Classic Tournament.
Effingham won the JV match 22-25, 25-14, 15-4. For Effingham: Morgan Hagler one assist and 10 digs; Adia Jennings two digs; Tori Budde one assist and six digs; Eliza Montgomery one kill and one block; Savannah Morrissey one kill; Kennedy Sowell four kills one block and one dig; Taylor O'Dell 11 assists, two aces and nine digs; Hayley Diveley four kills, five assists, one block and two digs; Lexi Chrappa 12 kills, two assists and eight digs; Britney Walls one dig; Katie Carie one kill and one ace.
Effingham lost the frosh/soph match 18-21, 21-23. South Central won the JV match 25-15, 25-10. The schools split the frosh/soph match. South Central won the first 25-22, Dieterich won the second 25-22.
