Effingham St. Anthony went two games to pick up a victory over Robinson in volleyball competition Thursday at the Enlow Center.
The Bulldogs won 25-18, 25-22. Abby Stock led in assists with 28. Meg Richards had 10 kills. Sydney Gibson led in aces with two and points with seven.
In junior varsity play, Robinson won 25-21, 25-18 and in a freshman match the visitors went home with 25-15, 25-12 victories.
At St. Anthony

At Mount Zion
Effingham traveled to Mount Zion for an Apollo Conference contest.
The Hearts won the opener 25-23 but Mount Zion came back with a 25-15 second game count and then claimed the match 25-15. EHS drops to 2-1.
Jacy Boatman had 10 kills while Carsyn Fearday led in assists with 20. Lexi Chrappa had five blocks and Fearday led in digs with 11.
In junior varsity action, the Hearts tallied a 27-25 win then dropped the next two games at 25-15, 15-11 for the match. EHS falls to 2-1.
In freshman play, the Hearts came out on top. They lost their opener 25-20 but came back with 21-16 and 15-9 counts.

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg tallied a non-conference win over Cumberland Thursday.
The Hatchets won 25-10, 25-13 and are 3-0 on the season.
Megan Schlechte led in kills with 13 and had seven digs. Mackenzi Tabbert led in assists with 22 and had seven digs.
In the junior varsity match, the Hatchets were winners 25-20, 25-17 and stand at 3-0.

St. Elmo/Brownstown came calling and picked up 25-16, 25-22 wins over host South Central.
South Central was led by Mackenzie Potter with six points, two digs and six kills. Lauren Lutz had six assists.
St. Elmo/Brownstown also claimed the junior varsity match 25-18, 25-20. South Central won the freshman/sophomore contest 25-15, 25-11 to improve to 1-2.
At Farina

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City picked up both matches Thursday evening.
The Bobcats won the varsity contest 25-23, 25-18 over Ramsey to improve to 3-1. Allie Stell led the winners in kills with four and aces with three. Lauren Wojcik had three aces. Katlyn Johnson led in assists with six.
CHBC also nabbed the JV contest 10-25, 25-10, 25-22.
At Cowden

Teutopolis had a hard evening, dropping all three matches to host St. Joseph-Ogden Thursday.
St. Joseph-Ogden won the varsity contest, 25-23, 25-19, the junior varsity match, 25-22, 21-25, 15-10 and the freshman contest 25-10, 28-30, 15-10.
In varsity play, Emma Deters, Julia Frey and Savannah Grimes had two blocks each. Katelyn Jansen led in digs with 12.
At St. Joseph

Marshall claimed two wins over Dieterich in action Thursday.
Marshall won the varsity contest 25-17, 25-16 and captured the junior varsity contest 25-17, 25-16.
Dieterich drops to 0-2 in varsity play. Emily Bloemer had four kills for the Movin' Maroons while Jenny Robards led in assists with five. Taylor Curry had three digs.
